Country Championships
The 2008 SWOSSAA
Cross Country Championships that will be run at Malden Park on Thursday October 23.
Kindly note the following:
Entry
Information
1.
Changes to your entries
will be accepted on race day before 12:15.
The only changes that will be allowed are those resulting
from the injury of an athlete.
The changes must go through your association convenor to the SWOSSAA
meet convenors.
Courses and Race Times
1.
The courses are
basically the same as The University of Windsor Meet and WECSSAA. The course is mainly grass with some woodchip
trails and packed gravel paths. An
asphalt road is crossed a few times.
The entire course will hopefully be marked by 11:30 on race day. Remind your athletes that they must run
between any flags and/or cones used to mark the course. Failure to do so could result in
disqualification. Marshals are posted
throughout the course to report any irregularities.

Parking
Please let parents know to park at Mic Mac Park
in the parking lot off of Matchette Road.
If your bus is staying for the meet or you are driving yourself, please
park in the Mic Mac Park parking lot.

forms that must be filled out and given to the SWOSSAA convenor at SWOSSAA are:

Results
They will be posted on the block building located behind the portable toilets as quickly as they are available
at the conclusion of each race. Remember
that the 4 th place runner breaks ties.
AWARDS
Awards will be presented at the conclusion of
the senior boys’ race.
Note: If your school has OFSAA qualifiers, you must register them at the tent where you picked up your entry package before leaving the meet today. You can submit your forms at this
time .
This is also the time to make changes to your entries for OFSAA
Finally, in the spirit of appropriate athletic
competition, remind your athletes that any inappropriate language or action
will result in their disqualification from the meet.
